Apple Releases iOS 9.2 - Update iPhone Safely

Apple has updated the official version of iOS 9.2 for the iPhone recently, I think it’s a great improvement, which has added a number of features.

The iOS 9.2 update file size is about 270MB. And iOS 9.2 version has added these features:
1. Improve Apple Music playlists and allows users to save song offline. The classical music catalog in Apple Music has been improved with works, composers, and performers;
2. Add the Mail Drop for mail which can can send large attachments up to 5GB in size;
3. iBooks supports 3D Touch, which allows users to peek and pop into pages from the table of contents, notes and bookmarks, or search results with force press gestures;
4. Add the new function - "USB Camera Adapter", which means that by the Apple Lightning Flanagan connected USB cable, you can directly import photos from camera or U disk to iPhone (this function requires at least iPhone 5 or later models).

5. Add NumberSync service, which is an expansion of Wi-Fi calling.
iPhone Users running iOS 9.2 can open the iPhone, go to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling. And then tap on “Add Wi-Fi Calling For Other Devices”, agree to the terms and conditions, and Wi-Fi Calling will be enabled for other devices tied to your iCloud account.

In addition, iOS 9.2 also fixes a lot of bug. The update change log has 4 pages. This update will solve some small problems which troubled most of iPhone users. For example, take music when listening to music and then return to music which cannot continue to play anymore.

The update is currently available to all users with an iPhone 4s or later models and can be downloaded over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update. But jailbreak users don’t update the system directly; otherwise the iPhone will not start when you restart it.

Another important note: Make sure you have backed iPhone well before updating. You can still use FonePaw iOS Transfer to help you backup important data on iPhone safely.

iPhone Has Become Popular Camera

Recently, Flickr announced their "Annual Review" report, which select camera products that the most people used to upload and share up to the Flickr platform over the past 12-month period. Without on doubt, iPhone comes with the first. The top five are arranged sequentially would be: iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S5, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5. There is no Digital Single Lens Reflex at the top five names.

So we may think of the report published by the Yahoo of 2015 recently. The report said that the noun of iPhone 6 was searched most times at the category of science and technology. And even Windows 10 is ranked in behind it. Flickr is one of the units of Yahoo, so the two reports could have certain association. But iPhone has become a popular camera equipment in 2015, whether the new iPhone’s configurations can compete with the rivals or not.

2010, iPhone became the most popular photo-sharing camera equipment on Flickr, which has kept top-ranked up to now. The most popular camera on Flickr was the models of the iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, and then turned the iPhone 4s to iPhone 5, and then to iPhone 6 today.

Managing iPhone photos can be an urgent need for iPhone users. The FonePaw iOS Transfer is just dedicated to solving this problem. iPhone Transfer is particularly designed to add, export, delete data on iPhone/iPad/iPod. Here is an example of how to transfer photos from iPhone to computer and you could have a look.

Apple released iOS 9 to the public on 17th September, and it’s available for all users who have an iPhone 4s or later, iPad 2 or later, 5th-generation iPod touch or later or any iPad mini to download the latest update. As expected, iOS 9 covers almost 50% among iOS users, which has become the fastest universal platform in the history.

Upgrade to iOS 9 without Losing Any Data

Apple has released the official version iOS 9 at September 16. For most iOS users, it is a very troublesome thing to upgrade the system every time. You need to back up your data first, and then upgrade the system, finally restore data. It almost spends half a day to do that. And how to upgrade the system with the original data is a problem that we are most concerned about. Here we introduce a way to you to make your device upgraded to iOS 9 without losing data as well as backing up and restoring data.

Before you begin, we recommend FonePaw iOS Transfer to you to make a regular backup for important information such as photos, contacts and other information, which can prevent you from losing important information because of some unexpected issues. Every iOS users should cultivate the habit of backing up data from to time. You can see here: How to backup iPhone.

Only no jailbreak phone users can update iOS 9 system via the following two ways. And for the jailbreak phone users, we will recommend the original "Recovery" approach to upgrade system. But jailbreak iPhone users can still use FonePaw iOS Transfer to backup iPhone first.

Method 1: Upgrade iOS 9 with OTA

iPhone supports OTA upgrade, which means you can upgrade iOS 9 system without USB cable and computer. You can go to Settings > General > System Update. The advantage of this way is that you can be easy to upgrade system with a few clicks on iPhone. What’s more, you can continue to use the iPhone normally while the iPhone is downloading the upgrade package.

The way of OTA upgrade also has its shortcomings. It needs more capacity of space for iPhone because iPhone need to download the upgrade package which will take up the storage space. Maybe it will need additional 1GB- 1.9GB. Especially for 16GB users, each upgrade can be a quite painful thing. But 16GB can still use iPhone Transfer to transfer data to PC in order to space some storage from upgrade.

Method 2: Upgrade to iOS 9 with iTunes

Another method is to connect device with iTunes. And you need to upgrade the latest version of iTunes, then click on the top right corner of the "iPhone" to enter detailed preview screen. If you do not separately download firmware, you can simply click the "Update" button and the computer will download the firmware first, and then update the latest system from device.

Note: The jailbreak iPhone users need to select "Recovery" approach to upgrade system. This way will clear all of data on your device. So you must make a backup with FonePaw iOS Transfer in advance.
